Epic Color is a growing division of A/E Graphics, Inc. which was originally founded in Brookfield, Wisconsin as a division of Green Bay Blue Print Company which goes back nearly a century.

Marjorie and Guy Lam
The original owner was Max Schober of Berners-Schober in Green Bay where he became a partner in 1906. Guy and Marjorie Lam later ran the Brookfield division until Fred Gennerman and Mel Kirsch acquired and renamed it A/E Graphics, Inc. in 1978.
Max, Guy, Marjorie, Fred and Mel had a basis of hard work, quality results and great customer service.
Always looking to the future, Fred and Mel helped to adapt their roots in blueprinting, photocopying, pin bar registration for drafting and photography into a digital document and color graphics company.

In 2001, five employees became owners of A/E Graphics: Tim Davis, Dan Schmidt, Joe Shaw, John Sieber and Tom Taubenheim. Recognized as professional, reliable, devoted and passionate team members from the get go, it was natural that the leadership roles would pass on to the five.

Retires in 2016
Through the 2000’s, Tim, Dan, Joe, John and Tom launched new innovations in digital printing, scanning and online document management.
In 2009, they opened Epic Color which evolved from growing demands for custom signs and displays. Epic Color is run with the same passion and work ethic as A/E Graphics.
In 2016 John retired from A/E Graphics. In 2022 B&L Graphic Solutions was purchased furthering the expansion of our services into the corrugated printing market. In 2024 Dan retired from Epic Color.
We are a division of A/E Graphics. Over the years as the print industry continued to change including the way services were offered, a better workflow efficiency was needed. A/E Graphics specializes in map and site plan reproductions, along with being a Canon printer dealer.
In the summer of 2015 a complete remodel of A/E Graphics, Brookfield, Wisconsin building was done. At this time, A/E Graphics and EPIC Color reside in the same building.

Meet Team
Our team lives by the motto “Be Epic.” Whatever type of project that you dream up, we will make it a reality. Never hesitate to ask us to do something new or “out of the box.” We will make it Epic!
Mel has been here for over a decade. He started at A/E Graphics in Milwaukee and landed at Epic Color in 2012. He is our GM and lead graphic designer.
Erik handles our CSR and project management duties including estimating. He started at B&L Graphic Solutions.
Noah is our head installer. He helps with fabrication, production and the reproduction of art pieces.
Andi is a key part of our production and workflow. He came over to us from the A/E Graphics.
Printers and Equipment
To provide the best and fastest quality output available at an incredible value we have installed the very latest roll-to-roll print technology with the Canon Colorado M-Series 5W Pro printer.
Not only can we print in gloss or matte, but we can do both at the same time on the same print! Not only that, but we also have the ability to print with white ink! We can print on reflective, chrome or clear materials too!
In addition, we can print directly onto substrates with white ink on our flatbed printer.
We can also laminate prints in-house and have a brand-new cutter giving us quick finishing capabilities.
